The Macho Minute is about my dog Macho, a chihuahua I rescued in January of 2010. Macho was rescued from a house in Dearborn, MI where 100+ other Chihuahuas were found alive and another 150+ were found dead amongst garbage piled from floor to ceiling. Due to these living conditions, Macho is very timid at all times. I created the Macho Minute to share Macho's stories and progress, as well as my joy of rescuing a dog who needs extra love and care.

My Guest Post!

I just wanted to write a quick update to let everyone know that I am the guest blogger on the Pet Blogs United page today! I wrote a post about a petition site that can help animals worldwide. I hope you check out my post here and that you join the site as well!

My daughter visited the local human society adoption center yesterday. 99 percent of those available dogs were chihuahuas and pit bulls. They all looked so sad and alone that we found ourselves wishing we could take one or two home. We can't - there is no way to afford that many pets - but we left with a little sadness in our hearts for those pets who are cast off and now populate humane societies' adoption centers.

I just popped over from Pet Blogs United and am your newest follower. I am so glad that Macho has a wonderful home. I am also a rescue dog - it's been a long time (10 years), but I was once very timid as well.

Stopped by from PBU to read your blog. I have read through several posts and I can relate to the one about how you knew he was the one for you. I feel that way about our Cleo as well. I stalked her for months at our shelter until they agreed to let me adopt her. She was going to PBS at 18 months old for aggression and I could not have that at all. We have had her for 5 years on February 18th of this year. She is my angel. So glad Macho found your family.
